frequently asked questions

Who should I contact if I have questions or comments?
Summer camps at Regina Coeli Academy are run independently from the school’s front office staff. Please do NOT contact the RCA front office regarding summer camps. Should you have a question or concern please email SummerCamps@ReginaCoeliAcademy.com or call (215) 690-1810

What should my camper wear?
Campers should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the camp they plan to participate in, and closed toed shoes. Keep in mind your child may be participating in activities that would make footwear such as flip flops unsafe. Additionally, campers should be dressed modestly. Any shorts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee and should not be skin tight. Skirts or dresses should touch the knee when standing. Shirts should not be sleeveless. T-shirts should be plain.

What should my camper bring?
All campers should bring water and a snack each day. If a camper is registered for both a morning and an afternoon camp, they should bring a packed lunch. An ice pack in their lunchbox is a good idea as we will not be able to put lunchboxes in a refrigerator. Please apply sunscreen at home prior to camp.

What time does camp take place during the week?
Each camp is 3 hours in total. Each morning session begins at 8:30am and ends at 11:30am. Each afternoon session begins at 12:30pm and ends at 3:30pm.

Who will be leading the camps and do they have security clearances?
Most of the camp leaders are RCA faculty, and their biographies can be found on the RCA Faculty Page. Science Camp is run by an RCA parent who is a PharmD with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. All summer camp staff and volunteers have completed their Safe Environment security clearances.

Do I have to pay in full when registering?
No, we ask for $75, per child, per camp, to hold your camper’s spot. The balance must be paid by June 1.

What is the refund policy?
A full refund can be issued if requested in writing by June 1. After June 1 full refunds will be issued if the camper’s spot can be filled, otherwise, a 50% refund of the amount you have paid may be issued.
