RCA Artists Recognized in National Contest

In September of 2025, RCA received a letter from the Missionary Childhood Association regarding their National Christmas Artwork contest. RCA had two students recognized: Emmelina Merola, grade 6, was a National winner and Nathan Dickerson, grade 8, received Honorable Mention.

The schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are encouraged to participate in this contest every year.

Grades 1-8 participated in creating designs, which had to incorporate specific subjects and media parameters. The representatives for each grade level were selected by RCA administration and then submitted. National winners have their work featured on Christmas cards for the Pontifical Mission Societies.

Regina Coeli’s two students were recognized and received awards for their submission of work created in 2025. There was a special ceremony with the winners held at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
