We are Back!

Bright sunlight streamed on the smiling faces of reunited students and faculty on Regina Coeli Academy’s first day of school, Wednesday, September 9. Students clustered together, talking and catching up with friends.

Before greeting the students and parents in the school yard, faculty and staff gathered in the library to pray and give thanks for the blessing of another school year at RCA, invoking the intercession of this years’ patron saint, Pier Giorgio Frassati.

The school day began with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, after which the community began the 33 Day Consecration to the Eucharist. Nicole Gibboni, RCA President, introduced presenters Mr. LeTourneau and Mr. Longo gave reflections and began the first day of prayer. These gentlemen are part of Live Vertical, an organization founded to build bridges from Catholic Schools to Sunday Mass through tranformative Eucharistic encounters. The students filed into the building with their homeroom teachers, ready to begin another year.
